Enjoy life without knee or hip pain...
The pain associated with osteoarthritis has deprived many people of their normal activities of daily living. Simple pleasures become difficult or impossible. Diet, exercise and medications under a physician's care may help alleviate the symptoms of osteoarthritis. When these activities do not alleviate pain, surgery may be an option.
Saint Francis Memorial Hospital's Toal Joint Center is dedicated to providing the best possible care for foot, ankle, knee, hip and shoulder, as well as arthritis and connective tissue disorders. Our specially-trained orthopedic and podiatric surgeons, nurses, therapists and other caregivers provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Our physicians use the least invasive modalities and opractice state-of-the-art surgery and medicine. It's not quite bionic -- but it's definately cutting edge.
We treat each patient as an individual, with a treatment plan designed specifically for them. Patients enjoy group meals, exercise classes and social activities. Through an agressive rehabilitation program, our goal is to return people to healthy lifestyles. We provide education and information as well as surgical expertise.
The decision to have any type of surgery is a difficult and important one and should be discussed with your physician and family. It is important that you understand all the benefits and potential risks of joint replacement before seriously considering this alternative. If you have questions about total joint replacement or about the Total Joint Center, please do not hesitate to call us at (415) 353-6380.
